Gareth Dunlop is a Belfast born singer-songwriter and producer with Animal being his eagerly anticipated second album and he has also recently produced albums at his Sycamore Studios for fellow Northern Irish musicians Foy Vance with Signs Of Life and Lee Rogers with Gameblood.

Dunlop has recently toured in the United States with Vance and will be touring the UK and Ireland later in the year so if he comes near you then jump at the chance to see a quality singer-songwriter at the top of his game. Dunlop was quickly picked up on by Irish and UK radio stations for his quality crafted rock music, earned the accolade of album of the week on RTE1 and was also tipped by the BBC as ‘one to watch’ as long ago as 2010. He has a fantastic voice with a truly sumptuous delivery and very much reminds of Bryan Ferry, Roy Orbison and even a little Harry Styles. His music is a pleasing mix of rock, fusion and soul which he delivers with great emotion and holds your attention in exactly the same way that the legendary Van Morrison does.

Animal is actually a timeless recording as Dunlop seems to have captured the sound of each decade perfectly so you can get a vibe of the ’60s and then you are right back in present day pop/rock territory making this an album for all as there literally is something for each and every one of us in the songs on display here. Dunlop bares his soul for us and his emotional delivery breathes a real magic into the delivery making this a truly eclectic rock record that you will so readily and easily identify with.
