Empty, the fifth solo masterpiece by Kristoffer Gildenlöw, released on 8 February, is a musical journey that began its recording alongside the album Homebound in 2019.

Influenced by the likes of Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, and Mike Oldfield, Kristoffer Gildenlöw injects his own distinctive sound into the album crafting a unique homage tohis musical inspirations.

Deviating from traditional concept albums with linear narratives, Kristoffer’s approach is theme-based. Empty invites listeners into various situations, environments, states of mind, and emotions—encouraging reflection and connection.

Born in 1978 in Eskilstuna, Sweden, Kristoffer embarked on his international musical journey as the bass player for the progressive hard rock sensation Pain of Salvation.

Transitioning to The Netherlands in 2003, Kristoffer diversified as a session player, collaborating with renowned acts like Neal Morse (US), Lana Lane (US), Damian Wilson(UK), KAYAK (NL), and many more.

The album prompts contemplation on whether our existence, as observed by the creator, might be deemed a colossal mistake, sparking the question: Is it time to embark on a new beginning?
