The Italian vocalist Nicoletta Rosellini is known for her work with Kalidia and Walk in Darkness have released a cover version of the Nightwish ballad Turn Loose the Mermaids from their album Imaginaerum.
A video can be seen on YouTube below, and the cover is also available as a digital single on the usual streaming platforms
Nicoletta comments on the new single: “The Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum albums by Nightwish came out when I was starting my career as a metal vocalist and it’s not a secret that those two releases influenced me a lot. Anette Olzon‘s rock singing style and great stage presence contributed to shaping me as a performer. With this cover version, I want to pay my tribute to her and the band.”
