Lev Kerzhner and Noa Gruman are two Israeli musicians from Tel Aviv and they have put together this single release in aid of the Light For The World international Covid-19 relief fund. They have pulled together a team of 66 musicians for this rousing anthem which is a call to arms and a plea to unite in face of the unprecedented threat that we are all facing from the disastrous global pandemic. The musicians involved are Alex Landenberg (Kamelot) on drums, Ally Storch (Subway to Sally) on violin, viola and cello, Ben Christo (Sisters of Mercy) on guitar, Lev Kerzhner (Oceans on Orion) on vocal, Linus Klausenitzer (ex-Obscura) on bass, Moran Magal on piano, Noa Gruman (Scardust) on vocal and Yanai Avnet (Scardust) on double bass but it the power of the 58 strong choirs with singers from Austria, Finland, Germany, Israel, Norway and UK that gives the song that extra special magic that takes your breath away. The song reminds me a little of the sublime Within Temptation song The Whole World Is Watching due to its grandeur and scope. Together On Our Own is an anthemic tour de force with some amazing vocals and all is in aid of a very good cause.
