Resonate 2 is the anticipated sequel to 2018’s successful Resonate Festival. Resonate was a classic and progressive rock event which took place at the O2 Islington Academy, was a fundraiser for MacMillan Cancer Support and raised healthy funds for the cause. Resonate embraced a broad musical palette, but was mainly about ‘music without boundaries’. Conceived and helmed by Mike Morton of The Gift, Resonate was a platform for acts who defy the musical mainstream. No corporate rock, pop or dance cliché. All musical adventurers, no celebrity chasers…

Demand for another event in the same style was overwhelming, but the organisers put their own musical projects and live work first for a couple of years…Until now. They have been persuaded to stage another eclectic festival, but this time the venue has moved from Islington to Camden’s Underworld. 2020’s one day line-up boasts the very best in contemporary rock and prog.

Resonate will happen on Saturday 20th June 2020. The day will be headlined by This Winter Machine, a band which knows how to blend melody with complexity, and whose recent album A Tower Of Clocks has thrilled the prog world. The rest of the line-up is no less enticing, featuring The Gift, The Far Meadow, IT, Hats Off Gentlemen Its Adequate and Red Letters. These acts span symphonic prog, art rock and new wave! If you are looking for a musical experience with passion and sophistication, look no further. With such a diverse line-up it cannot be missed

Mike says: “The original event was a big undertaking. As our first foray into staging events, it was fuelled more by emotion than pragmatism, if I’m honest. But the faithful kept asking for more, so we succumbed. This time around the scale is more manageable, and we hope we’ve built a line-up which offers quality, scope and excitement.”
