The Chase is an interesting and vital British indie-rock band with the somewhat interesting title of this EP seeming inspired by the number of times the band have been asked if they took their name after the popular British TV show and the answer is an unequivocal no! The band writes about what it knows with the frontman and songwriter Tyler Heaney commenting on the world that he sees and lives in with his songs being fresh and inventive.
The six tracks are short and sweet social commentaries delivered in an upbeat fashion with the band having a sound somewhat similar to early versions of the Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand and The Kaiser Chiefs. The EP is a neat introduction to a band with something to say and each track is delivered in perfectly formed little packages that are just so easy to listen too and very radio friendly.
