The Pretty Maids vocalist Ronnie Atkins is currently in a rich vein of form having released two excellent solo albums in little over a year and he has now followed up this year’s excellent Make it Count album with these four orchestral versions of songs from that album. It’s rather similar to what Atkins did after releasing One Shot with a couple of EP featuring must have bonus tracks including acoustic and acoustic versions of material from the album. As any rock fan will know, Ronnie is an exceptional singer with The Pretty Maids having released numerous brilliant hard rock albums over the years and Ronnie shows that his solo material is every bit as relevant and vital as the band albums. To miss out on this musician and group is to live a life more ordinary as they have so much to offer and each release is a pure delight.

This new EP of orchestral tracks is a perfect example of the vitality and skillset of the man as he has taken four rock songs and turns them into exquisite, epic orchestral works of pure genius. The EP is only 20-minutes but the music is so life affirming and moving and it is great to see the new life each song has been given by the addition of orchestration. Give it a listen and then play Make It Count to see just what this man brings to the rock stage. Ronnie has serious health issues having been diagnosed with incurable stage 4 cancer so he is seizing the day in the way he knows best and we all continue to pray for a truly unique and exception musician and, more importantly, man.
