History sees Mick as a blip on the screen... but in '68 he was a heavyweight mentioned in the same breath as Peter Green... It shouldn't take the passing of an artist from this world to rekindle interest in their music. But it often does, and perhaps that's simply human nature. Personally, it never occurred..
Jethro Tull – Still Living in the Past (Chrysalis)
'Crap song', Anderson says bluntly... 'Annoying jazzy flute phrases. Bin it!' Just wondr'ing aloud here, but with the imminent release of Still Living in the Past and the confirmed upcoming expansion of Under Wraps, it seems increasingly likely that the Jethro Tull reissue machine will eventually reach the furthest corners of their discography. At first..
Jethro Tull – Fresh Snow at Christmas (InsideOut)
Hey! Santa! Pass us that box set, will ya? We're fast approaching the 22nd festive season since Ian Anderson and his band of jolly Jethros first released The Jethro Tull Christmas Album, the final studio release to feature longtime stalwart Martin Barre on lead guitar duties and therefore the end of a long and fruitful..
Jethro Tull – Bursting Out: The Inflated Edition (parlophone)

Like many of his contemporaries, Ian Anderson opens himself up to sniping from all corners with each new release. No criteria is off-limits to the online..
Ian Anderson Plays The Orchestral Jethro Tull – 2-LP Edition (Parlophone)
There's just something about Jethro Tull music that lends itself to this time of year. The rosy and comforting quality to Ian Anderson's rustic, folk-tinged tale spinning feels made for the ripening autumn season and its gradual build to the merriment of the holidays. Perhaps it's Anderson's own fondness for all things crisp and yuletide,..
Jethro Tull – Benefit: The 50th Anniversary Enhanced Edition (Parlophone)
The relentless roars of a demanding fan base can't be ignored forever... Well, it finally happened. Much chatter and argy-bargy has transpired over the last several years regarding the likelihood of Jethro Tull's third album Benefit being reissued in Parlophone's deluxe 'digibook' series of Steven Wilson remixes. It made sense, some reckoned, since it was..
