If you like mid-paced ‘80s infused epic metal with a healthy dose of doom thrown in too then this new band from Spain might be your cup of tea. This is their first full-length album and follows on from an EP which was titled 0 – The Genesis. I guess the working assumption that there..
Sölicitör – Enemy In Mirrors (Gates Of Hell Records)
Seattle’s speed metallers Sölicitör made immediate impression with their debut Spectral Devastation (2020), which featured some really strong songs, along with the over-the-top performance of front-woman Amy Lee Carlson, who is presently my favorite female singer along with Erica Stoltz (Sanhedrin). The new album Enemy In Mirrors will finally come out next Friday and I..
Phantom Spell – Heather & Hearth (Cruz Del Sur Music/ Wizard Tower Records)
If you’ve been reading this website, then I bet you know quite well the fantastic English heavy metallers Seven Sisters, who released their great fourth album at the end of March. Their frontman and guitar player Kyle McNeill is exploring the more prog-rock and Seventies hard rock aspects of his musical talents via Phantom Spell..
Mega Colossus – Showdown (Cruz Del Sur Music)
Melodic metallers Mega Colossus were originally formed a decade ago in Raleigh, North Carolina as simply Colossus by vocalist Sean Buchanan and guitarist/vocalist Bill Fischer. Since then the band has released three full lengths and just as many EPs, all of which of excellent quality classic heavy metal, with and extra touch of melody and..
Adamantis – The Daemon’s Strain (Cruz Del Sur Music)

It only received a limited release but it did bring the album to the attention of Cruz..
Mirror – The Day Bastard Leaders Die (Cruz Del Sur Music)
OK, I'm confused. The publicity states that Mirror is a multi-nationality band but, as far as I can see, all the musicians seem to be Greek nationals so I can only surmise that they all now live in different countries. Whatever the nationality, Mirror was formed in 2005 by bassist Tas aka Tasos Danazoglou formerly..
Tower – Shock To The System (Cruz Del Sur Music)
Hailing from the United States, Tower is a fast, frantic and furious female fronted hard rock band that only knows how to play loud and aggressively and the band hits with the ferocity of a runaway train! The group is from New York City and it seems to have taken the city's high energy, ever..
Adamantis – Far Flung Realm (Cruz Del Sur Music)
Adamantis is a relatively new young American power metal/New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal band which was formed in 2016 by drummer Evgeny Gromovoy and guitarist Javier Estrada after they moved to Boston for work purposes where they met guitarist Jeff Taft, bassist Liz Cleary and singer Ashley Caval and formed Adamantis. They released the EP..
